Jared Kushner Testifies on His Meetings with Russia

Jared Kushner testified at Capitol Hill on Tuesday, regarding his meetings with Russian officials during the 2016 presidential election. The president’s son-in-law was grilled by both Republicans and Democrats for nearly three hours during his second testimony.
On Monday, Kushner denied any wrongdoing in his meetings with Russian officials during his first interview with the Senate Intelligence Committee.
“All of my actions were proper and occurred in the normal course of events of a very unique campaign,” said Kushner to reporters at the White House. “I did not collude with Russians, nor do I know of anyone in the campaign who did.”
Kushner, a senior advisor to the president, remained quiet upon his second round of questioning Tuesday.
Rep. Mike Conway, who has been tasked with leading the Russian investigation, stated that Kushner was, “straightforward” and “forthcoming” during Tuesday’s session.
President Trump, seemingly pleased with his son-in-law’s performance during these past few days, tweeted:
Jared Kushner did very well yesterday in proving he did not collude with the Russians. Witch Hunt. Next up, 11 year old Barron Trump!
