“I think it’s good if you just want to reflect on your thoughts or actions of that day, or even your whole life. Writing is useful for anyone who needs an outlet. Just go write.”
I have been writing ever since I could string words together on a page. Regardless of every other hobby or activity to do, I chose writing because it allowed me to express my thoughts or emotions.
As the quiet person in my family, I don’t talk often. In school, I’m also an introverted person. I don’t even talk to friends unless I’ve known them for a year.
I would like to speak more often, but people don’t always listen. That’s why I enjoy writing. If I can write down my thoughts, I might find someone in the future to share them with.
Usually, I write poetry because it’s easy to quickly put my thoughts on a page. Occasionally, if I feel like writing something longer, I’ll write a short story. I just write whatever comes to mind.
My emotions can also influence my writing. If I’m angry one day, I’ll write in a flurry or if I’m happy, my work will be positive.
Emotions work to influence my word choice, my symbols, and so much more. I choose to never write based on my prompt since my writing is based on my own reflection.
Writing is a great habit for anyone because it could be used to kill time or calm the spirit. For example, sometimes I write to get my emotions out, other times it’s because I have nothing better to do.
That’s why I would definitely recommend writing to others. I think it’s good if you want to reflect on your thoughts or actions of that day, or even your whole life.
Writing is useful for anyone who needs an outlet. Just go write. You don’t even have to share your work with others.
No writer should ever feel obligated to share something personal. If you want to share, though, don’t be afraid to seek listeners. The written word is a tool that can be a cure for a bad day or an uplifting message for someone you care about.
Personally, I show my work to my friends just to put my emotions out there. But I never feel pressured to do anything I don’t want to do.
The same goes to any other writer, artist, or person in general. Be yourself at your own pace.
