“As I got older, I started not to want to play as much. It wasn’t that I lost love for the game, I just wanted to fit in.”
Nashua, NH
My favorite thing to do is to play baseball. I have been playing since I was around 7 years old when my parent signed me up for little league.

My father was a huge baseball fan as well as my uncles. They always had constructive criticism for me that helped me to become better and better.

Playing baseball also helped me to form long lasting friendships. Something about the love for the game just has a way of bringing people together.

As I got older, I started not to want to play as much. It wasn’t that I lost love for the game, I just wanted to fit in. It was no longer cool when you are 20 years old to go run down to the field.

However, I found myself not that happy no matter what I did. I tried golf with friends from work. I also tried to do fantasy leagues.

However, none of these compared to baseball. This is when I came to realize that I was meant to play baseball.

At the end of the day life is too short to care about people’s opinions. If you enjoy doing something and it doesn’t harm anyone, then go for it. Baseball is how I love to express myself and if someone doesn’t like it, then that’s just too bad.
