• Can you tell us a bit about your “backstory” and how you grew up?
I grew up splitting my time between Dixon, California, and Mexico, where my parents—originally from Jalisco—instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and the belief that anything is possible with dedication.
Those lessons became the foundation of my approach to life and business.
My interest in helping others and solving problems led me to insurance, and I was fortunate to have a mentor who introduced me to the industry and gave me the opportunity to learn the business.
To this day, the principles of hard work, honesty, and loyalty guide everything I do, both professionally and personally.

• Can you tell our readers about the business you’ve created? How did you get started?
The Golden Rooster Insurance Agency is my second insurance venture, but it holds special meaning—it’s an established office I acquired from my mentor, Lamon Warnock.

His guidance introduced me to the world of independent insurance, showing me how an agency can provide clients with flexibility and tailored solutions rather than just one option.
I took that foundation, perfected it, and built upon it to create an agency that truly prioritizes the client’s best interests.
What sets us apart is our bilingual, highly experienced team, who are dedicated to making sure every client leaves in a better position than when they came to us.
Our core values—honesty, loyalty, and excellence—define how we operate. Insurance is more than policies and paperwork; it’s about trust, relationships, and ensuring people feel secure in their future.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you began leading your company?

One of the most fulfilling aspects of running my agency is witnessing the peace of mind we bring to clients when they face unexpected challenges.
Whether it’s assisting a business owner with a complex claim or guiding an injured employee through the uncertainty of a workers’ compensation process, knowing we’ve made a difference is incredibly rewarding.
Beyond claims, it’s also inspiring to support startups and watch their businesses grow. Some of our clients started as small operations, and we’ve been with them through every stage of their success.
Seeing their companies thrive, knowing we helped protect their journey, is a reminder of why this work matters—it’s about security, trust, and being there when people need us most.
• What is your mission behind your brand?
Insurance shouldn’t be complicated. We make it easy to understand—so you can make confident choices to protect what matters most: your family, your business, your future.
Our mission is rooted in service, clarity, and empowerment. We’re here to build trust, not just transactions.
• What is the biggest advice you have for an entrepreneur who is just starting?
Start with your values. Build a business that reflects who you are and what you believe in. Surround yourself with people who share your mission, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Systems and strategy matter—but so does heart. Stay grounded, stay curious, and never lose sight of why you started.
• What is one thing you wish you knew before becoming an entrepreneur?
That growth isn’t linear—and that’s okay. There will be seasons of momentum and seasons of refinement. I wish I had known earlier how important it is to protect your energy, delegate wisely, and trust the process.
Entrepreneurship is a journey of faith, resilience, and constant learning.

• What do you think is the greatest challenge for women in your community when it comes to creating wealth/abundance?
One of the biggest challenges is access—access to mentorship, financial literacy, and networks that support women’s growth. Many women carry the weight of cultural expectations while trying to build something new.
• What advice would you have for someone who is feeling blocked by the obstacle?

My advice: don’t wait for permission. Invest in yourself, seek out community, and remember that your story is your strength. Wealth isn’t just financial—it’s the freedom to choose, to lead, and to uplift others along the way.
• What is next for you? Where do you see your company in 5 years?

We’re expanding our reach and deepening our impact.
In five years, I see Golden Rooster Insurance as a trusted, multi-service hub that not only provides insurance but also empowers families and entrepreneurs through education, bilingual outreach, and community partnerships.
We’re building something that lasts—rooted in faith, fueled by purpose.
