I Am An Immigrant – Voices

I was born in the United States. Although, both my parents are immigrants. Immigration in America is a huge problem in my opinion. They come to America with excitement and all they get in return is a list of expectations. The reason why immigrants come to America is for a chance. They want to make their life better and help their loved ones back home but America makes it extremely hard for them to do so. Americans have this fear that if a whole bunch of immigrants come here, they will take our jobs and leave us with nothing but that’s not true. Having immigrants come to America and making them work 2-3 jobs and still paying them under minimum wage is no way to live. There needs to be a change. There are many issues that a country can has but immigration in America is one of the biggest I would say. We need to be together, not divide.
